Meet Lisa Belmonte - AFSP
Lisa is the owner and senior tax preparer at Belmoore Financial. She has been preparing taxes since 2015, and in July 2022, she founded Belmoore Financial — building the firm around a simple idea: clients should feel like part of a family, not just a number on a balance sheet.
After working for a couple of established tax firms, Lisa knew she wanted something different for her clients. She set out to create a practice where individuals and small businesses alike get personal attention, clear answers, and a tax preparer who genuinely cares about their financial well-being.
Lisa holds the IRS Annual Filing Season Program (AFSP) Certification and welcomes clients of all kinds — from individuals filing a simple return to small business owners navigating complex tax situations. She has a particular passion for helping small businesses understand their numbers so they can make smarter decisions and grow with confidence.
Above all, Lisa believes that a tax return shouldn't just be accurate — it should be understood. She takes the time to walk clients through their returns so they know exactly what's in them and why.
Her commitment to clients hasn't gone unnoticed. Lisa and Belmoore Financial have been honored with the Susquehanna Style Best Of Award for 2023 and 2024, named a NextDoor Favorite and LNP Favorite for 2023 and 2024, and were named 2025 Winner for Tax Preparation, Accounting Firm, and Business Advisory Service.
Outside the office, Lisa cherishes time with her husband Tom and her three grandkids. She also loves to travel whenever she gets the chance.
